Padddi. I feel loved. haha!

I’ve known Gisela for the past eight years, which is basically the entirety of our teenage lives. From our first days as freshmen at Pisay to her last semester of stay as an undergrad here at the University, I’ve come to consider her, call her and know her as my “best friend”.

First and foremost, I find it both a privilege and an honor to be the one writing this for her. I may not be the person who spent the most time with her, I may not even be the one who knows her the most, but I think that over the course of those eight years – in between the laughter and tears and within those moments we’ve shared – I’ve seen the different sides of her personality, the different faces of her heart and, maybe, the innermost depths of her soul.

“Padi” (pa-dî) as I fondly call her is a darling. It may be a bit cliché’ but she indeed is beautiful - *ehem ehem* - both inside and out. Speaking out of my personal experiences with her, I can say with utmost confidence and pride that she is a keeper – a friend that’ll stick with you to the end. Trustworthy and reliable, Understanding and compassionate, She’s naturally a jolly (read: loud) person and her joyful persona can rub off on the people around her, though she is not without her own emo-moments at times. She’s also very sweet and, at times, full of surprises.

She’s very kikay and someone you’d want to take with you when you want to go shopping. I’m still amazed how she is able to find the most beautiful and suitable pieces of clothing for her amongst piles and piles of clothes in front of her.

I can’t let this opportunity pass without congratulating her. She’s shown that the beauty she possesses is matched only by the intellect of her mind. I am sure that the people whom she considers important parts of her life are very proud of her, I know I am. And I wish her all the best in her upcoming endeavors. Good luck at Med School padi! ^^,

A God-fearing, devoted and kind-hearted being, a loving daughter to her parents, a caring sister to her siblings and someone whom I am very lucky to call my “best friend” – Gisela.
